Hello dear classmates!!
The topic for this week will be about the use of the modals: must, should and ought because i think it could be confused for us because they almost mean the same, so in the following post you could see the different ways for using those modals, also you
could learn how use them with past tense and which structure you have to use in that case, at the same time you will learn which of those modals can be followed by infinitives. Let me tell you that I have learned a lot with the web page that I found because now I know that we have to use “must” to refer to something that is required by a rule or because it has to be done because it is obligatory, also I learned that “should” is commonly used to give an advice or suggestion, and finally that ought is used to express the view that something is the correct thing to do, so now I can identify when can I use each of them, because before I got confused with that and also I didn’t know how to use “ought” but now I know.
Believe me that the webpage has really good information so I invite you to check it, that will help you a lot in your knowledge, also i tryed to summarized the use of infinitives with th modals in a chart for you to make it easier for you.
And remember: should and ought, must not be used to make predictions.

Oh my God Adri! :0 pretty nice information you have shared today!
ResponderEliminarI really the way that you explain the theme and also the image that you published in your blog, since show us when we use the infinitive to and when not.
Thanks for share that friend, I enjoyed reading your post and visit the website.
Hey Adri!
ResponderEliminarI really like your information, although we already studied this topic it`s a little difficult, for example in my case I didn`t know the meaning or used about ought, I want to tell that your information and the way in that you can explain have helped me to know those modal can be followed by infinities and other thing is the used of ought I learned is to express the view that something is the right thing to do, because it`s morally correct and polite.
And a I have a little doubt What`s happend if I didn`t use the infinitive with ought?
Thanks for your information!
Great Job!
Hi there!
ResponderEliminarNice post Adri, i really liked it because you explained the information very well, and it was very interesting to know that when we use either must or should, the infinitive "to" is unnecessary.
What does "ought to" means?
Hi Adri. Wow I like that you focused in just three of the modaks that are very useful in English. I learned that must is for obligatory actions, should is for advice or suggestion, and outgh to is for telling the right way to do something. I just have a question, Is there another use for must in addition to obligatory actions? Bye, thanks.
