Be used to vs Get used to

Hello Friends!!  馃槑

It is a pleasure for me share a new topic with you and the post for this week is about Be used to and get used to.

Well, it's important that you know that be used to express that a situation is not new or strange or isn't longer strange and that is followed by a gerund or a noun. Get used to express that an specific action becomes less strange or new,or becomes more comfortable. It's important that you remember this information because it's really useful for you to know when to use those expressions.

Personally the information has helped me a lot, because i didn't understand very well the use of get used to but thanks to the web page's  information  and  video that i am sharing with you  i already know that that express an action becomes less strange, and also i learned that those expressions can be use with the present and past tense of verb to be and also with future tense.

I hope this information could help you!! 馃槃馃檵

The video has a duration of: 4:42 min

  2. Hello, Adri. This informatio shure helped me a lot to understand better that be use to uses not only nouns but also gerunds, well they work as nouns too. I just have one question, do we take "used to" as a one unit or can we slip it, for example by putting an adverb bewteen used and to?

  3. Hello Adri!!
I really like your information, I like the way in that you can explain, thanks for share that kind of information, your resources have helped to improve my knowlegde, in my case I`ve already know about used to but now I have a clear idea about get used to, that I have to use this expression for a new habit or routine. Though it is possible to use get used to for both positive and negative experiences, it is more commonly used with negative situations.
I have a doubt It`s means when I use the form get used to, is when something it`s difficult?
    thanks for your information!!

  4. Hello, Adri Nice Versus.
It's really important to know the differences and uses of both of this elements, the video was very explanatory and i could understand that we use -Be used to, when we express that we already have a habit of doing somthing, but in the orther hand, get used to, means that you are about to develop a habit that you don't have yet.
    Thanks for the information.
